Job Title: Material Handler

Responsibilities:
• Operate packaging equipment and a forklift.
• Sample customer products for laboratory testing.
• Code customer products.
• Prepare and clean trailers and hopper cars for loading.
• Complete daily equipment check sheets.
• Load trailers and hopper cars according to procedure; clean hopper car screens and hoses as required.
• Transfer hopper cars and trailers in and out of the Warehouse Building.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Complete all work orders, assignments, and priority work lists as assigned, ensuring on-time performance.
• Prepare and maintain all required reports and documentation.
• Perform tasks in line with customer needs and safety procedures and policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; secondary education is an asset.
• Valid forklift certificate.
• Several years of experience as a Material Handler is an asset.
• Experience in a large-scale manufacturing and/or continuous process environment is an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong commitment to safety and environmental standards.
Work Conditions/Schedule:
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders regularly, work at heights, and in dusty environments.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and lift at least 50 lbs.
• Ability to operate basic mechanical tools safely and efficiently.
• Ability to work a continental rotating shift schedule (2-2-3), including alternating weekends, nights (2-weeks days/2-weeks nights), and holidays.
• 12-hour shifts: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM, 80 hours per 2-week period.
• Overtime as required.
